Introducing Trang Nguyen, CODI’s New Executive Director

Leading the Coalition Toward a More Multilingual Internet

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Trang Nguyen as the new Executive Director of the Coalition on Digital Impact (CODI). With a strong track record in multilingual advocacy and technology policy, Trang brings a deep commitment to our mission of removing linguistic and technological barriers to meaningful connection online. Trang will work closely with CODI’s Co-Founders, Christian Dawson and Ram Mohan, whose leadership helped shape the foundation of this work, to guide CODI's strategic direction, programs, and partnerships.

Trang joins CODI with over two decades of leadership experience across the nonprofit, private, and technology sectors. She has held senior positions at ICANN, where she helped shape global Internet governance and led key initiatives including the IANA Stewardship Transition. Her career spans strategic operations, product marketing, and data-driven consulting roles at organizations including ERI Economic Research Institute, KPMG, and Identity Digital, where she built global nonprofit operations from the ground up, led landmark initiatives in internet governance, driven market expansion for software products, guided nonprofits in leveraging data-driven strategies to amplify their impact, and advanced cross-functional programs that deliver innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

Known for the ability to align diverse stakeholders and navigate multifaceted challenges, her collaborative, results-driven approach will be instrumental as CODI continues its mission to tackle systemic barriers to access and connection in the digital world.

The Coalition on Digital Impact is at a critical juncture. As the global digital landscape continues to evolve, fueled by the rapid advancement of AI, it is vital that we ensure underresourced and underrepresented communities are not left behind. Our work to ensure that language and technology do not become barriers to human connection has never been more urgent.

Trang is a leader who not only understands the technical and policy challenges ahead, but who also shares CODI members’ deep belief in representation and the power of multilingual digital spaces. With a new Executive Director at the helm, we look forward to building on existing projects while exploring new directions for growth, collaboration, and impact.
