At CODI, we believe that advancing digital inclusion and ensuring cultural and linguistic representation in the digital age is a collective effort. Our strength comes from a global community of committed individuals who contribute their time, expertise, and passion to our mission.

Joining CODI means being part of a movement: building tools and standards, strengthening representation, expanding access, and creating opportunities for communities around the world to thrive in the digital era.

Current Opportunities

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for the following roles. Volunteers must be 18 or older.

Events Coordinator (Volunteer Role)

The Events Coordinator works with CODI’s team and PR firm to plan and deliver CODI’s events, both virtual and in-person. This role helps CODI raise awareness, engage members, and build partnerships through impactful events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of CODI events such as workshops, panels, and webinars.
  • Manage event logistics, communications, and registrations.
  • Coordinate with speakers, volunteers, partners, and vendors.
  • Gather feedback and track outcomes to improve future events.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with coordinating corporate events.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently in a virtual environment.

Other Details

  • Time Commitment: 5-20 hours per month
  • Time Zone: Flexible; Must be able to attend virtual calls with CODI team members (UTC/GTM -7), PR firm (UTC/GTM -4)

Grants & Development Coordinator (Volunteer Role)

The Grants & Development Coordinator supports CODI’s fundraising efforts, with a focus on grant research, proposal development, and donor stewardship. This role helps secure resources to sustain CODI’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and governments.
  • Maintain a pipeline of grants and donors.
  • Support preparation of grant proposals and reports.
  • Assist with donor communications and stewardship activities.

Requirements

  • Strong writing and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with nonprofit fundraising or grant writing.
  • Comfortable working independently in a virtual environment.

Webmaster (Volunteer Role)

The Webmaster will volunteer their time to maintain CODI’s website and ensure it remains an effective, up-to-date platform for sharing CODI’s work, resources, and impact. At the direction of CODI’s leadership, this role is responsible for managing site content, implementing updates, and supporting CODI’s digital presence as part of its mission to advance digital inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain CODI’s website content, updating as necessary and at the direction of CODI’s leadership.
  • Post new content related to research, events, news, and other organizational announcements.
  • Monitor site functionality, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate technical fixes as needed.
  • Collaborate with CODI staff and volunteers to ensure web content supports outreach and engagement goals.

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing websites in the capacity of a webmaster.
  • Strong working knowledge of Webflow.
  • Comfortable working independently in a virtual environment.
